The tree is up and decorated (Anorexia is out of her box once again).
Ebony insisted on helping.
The engredients are prepared --------------
The pots are ready-------------
The cook is in full swing---the only problem is that I have to stand on a little foot stool to reach the bench top so that I can mix everything comfortably.
The cooks assistant got to lick the bowl---------------
The end result------can't wait to try them.
Yep it's beginning to look like Christmas.

Hey, not a bad looking cooks assistant you have there!
Your tree looks like ours (ours is the same age as me - i inherited it when mum wanted one that looked better). Ebony is doing a way better job that our kids did - our look like the kids threw the decorations at it from across the room.
I made the xmas cake the other day - 2 kgs of dried fruit, 8 eggs, 1/2 kg butter - its my nanas recipe (or rather great grandmas) and i make the cake for my mum every year since my nana got too old (shh dont tell her shes old though) to continue. its a bit too hot to be baking cakes and boiling pudding though, dont you think? I have the exact same mixing bowl as you....but i dont have to stand on a stool ;)
Very glad you have a cook's assistant to help you with the puddings.
Loving the photo of Ebony and Anorexia too. Perfect name for the tree:)
Lovely photos Doreen - glad you WERE standing on that box otherwise I wouldn't be able to see your lovely smiling face. Great picture of Ebony too (and your handsome assistant)
Have a great Christmas x
I've never made puddings although I have made fruitcakes. Didn't get to it this year as I am the only one who eats them. It was interesting to see your kitchen being as I live in the U.S.
I went back to look and I have the same mixing bowl too - got it for a wedding present over 36 years ago!
