TAST week 18 Woven and Whipped Wheels

I'm playing catch up this week--I don't know how I got behind but I did so here's the first one.
Week 18 for TAST is Woven and Whipped Wheels.
I love this stitch or should I say technique-there's something about it that makes me feel good when I am doing it.
I used a variegated silk thread again and I love the look that it gives.
I did some fill in with my favourite stitch French Knots in silk and DMC Perle 5 thread.I have also included some Dorset Buttons that I had made previously as the same technique is used when making them.

Now on to Week 19 to catch up.

Dorset buttons look interesting, I read about them somewhere. I love the tin much the same idea as our Goddess Goody bag. Happy Mothers day.

Beautiful work Doreen. I love the wheels together with the french knots. And those Dorset wheels are gorgeous. Love the colors you use your textile art.

Love those Dorset Buttons. If only I could catch up with TAST I'd be a happy chick (I've done up to week 17, so it's not TOO bad).

Love that little posy. I've always wanted to try the wheels - I may have to give them a go.
