Spring has Sprung

Finally a week later I have fully recovered from the hectic weekend of the exhibition.
We are having typical Spring weather in Canberra, beautiful sunny days and then several rainy days which is great for the gardens.
As you all may well know I am not your average keen gardener --I love looking at beautiful gardens but I just don't like all the hard work involved in having one.
This weekend Ebony and I brought some new Herb plants and transplanted them into bigger pots and replanted the two that survived from last year.
There are a couple more that I want to get and I think I will be capable of looking after them-well time will tell anyway.
So here they are freshly planted and standing up straight -from the left is Parsley-Oregeno-Basil-Chives and Mint.

Now I am off for a Nanny Nap.

Way to go! I've got parsley, rosemary, chives and mint doing well in their pots, but I can never get basil to grow for some reason. I did have oregano, but it died off after a couple of years, and I haven't replaced it yet.

Your herbs look lovely Doreen, and you can't be such a bad gardener if you had two plants from last year!

Aren't nanny naps the best Doreen :))) Love your herbs... I have a small herb garden... I am the same type of gardener as you... love it to look nice but don't like all the work... and mine have gone well (they must be hardy...lol) and I do enjoy using them...

Love your pots of herbs, the grubs keep getting into my basil, I need to plant some more. I am glad the recycle table went so well, I am just catching up with all the blogs at last. Cheers

I have some herbs tucked into garden beds here and there. I like to use them in my cooking, but I love to scrunch a few leaves as I do my garden walk-about, and take in their scents, even have a nibble or two making my rounds. Enjoy yours, and happy napping. (that's something I just can't do!)

Now that's the kind of garden I could do! I've tried in the past but it's very difficult to grow things here because of the heat and wind.

Enjoy that nap!

You definitely deserve a granny nap after all that planting! I'm with you -I'd put in the plants and then promptly lose interest. Good thing Jack was the gardener!!

Nice to have fresh herbs, the other day while visiting some country folk I was served soup with herbs that included saltbush. That was a new one for me but it was very nice.
