The stitch for February in the Stitch Explorer challenge run by Sharon B over on Pin Tangle is Trellis Stitch.
I GIVE UP------
I have been trying for 2 weeks to do Trellis Stitch .
I have enough samples to build a trellis fence around the barbecue area.
This is the best I can do.
The square is ok (just)
The upright circle is ok (just)
The Spiral Trellis sample ----well all I can say is that I have got something that is spiralling-sort of.
I have done it just in the nick of time and if I never do it again it will be too soon.
Here is a side view of the upright one showing the best section (don't ask to see the rest of it).
Do you get the feeling that this is my favourite stitch -I don't think so.

I don't think they are so bad at all Doreen! Its not bad at all. If you are coming - bring them in to the guild tomorrow and I will see if I can spot what you did to send things wobbly .
Well, I've only got the pix. to go by, and they look just beautiful... I really think you are being hard on yourself! Listen to sharonb!! - what's a wobble between friends!
All due credit for perseverance. Remember, everything comes in useful at sometime and can always be 'adapted'.
Cheers
Shirley
LOL....
They don't look so bad to me! And besides...no one is perfect at everything...
Hugs to you.,.
I tried this stitch too Doreen, and I'm not even remotely brave enough to show what I ended up with. As a matter of fact mine is residing in the local landfill. This stitch is NOT my friend!
Yours looks good to me.
I with you there... not my favorite stitch.... probably will never use this one again.... LOL...
i like it,even the spiral,to me look really good.
They look good Doreen, Much better I'm sure than what I could do. Full marks for effort!
I think you've done brilliantly, they look great, especially the spiral sample.
I think you have done a great job of the trellis stitch Doreen. But understand your frustration!
Get the feeling it might not be one you try in the future.
