March Calendar Girls Postcard

The March Calendar page was chosen by Carol T and I have shown the picture of it below.
When I was doing the Ratty Tatty Papers workshop recently I had painted some tissue paper and Val had suggested to me that it would be good for this months challenge.
Now not being one who ignores helpful suggestions I took her advice and used the paper for this P/C.
I tore the paper up and collaged it onto some vliesofixed felt and then added some machine stitching.

Here is the painted tissue paper that I used----------------

This is the original calendar page ----------------
My paper is more teal than green but I am happy with the way it has turned out and I hope Sandy will be too.

Oh, Doreen....I *love* orange and blue. It has always represented the American Southwest to me...the dry mesa and blue sky that almost hurts your eyes. I picture Oz as having the same colors. Glorious.

I love to see what you do each month for this challenge. The interpretations are so great & it's such fun to see what each person does with the theme.

The colours are fabulous. Looks like peeling paint. I prefer it to the original photo. Brilliant.

I just started blogging for a month; any suggestions would be nice, but I see you are a popular site! trying to open an artstudio after 20 yrs of not working; you are great inspiration for me!
