What is my excuse--I don't have one I just plain forgot about it.
So I have had to rush - then after I had finished doing it I realised that I had read the instructions wrong in one place--too late it will have to stay and blind Freddy couldn't find it anyway.
The first sample is my official one---

I think that I should have used heavier threads as the thinner ones tend to make the stitch look a bit messy.
Now to catch up on week 9.

Looking good. I forgot this week too as I have been at work in the evenings which is usually when I do my hand stitching.
Another very decorative and useful stitch Doreen. Misreading the instructions is probably how we have got half of these stitches and their variations!
Better late than never (I know - bad cliche!). I wouldn't have known you misread the instructions because the samples look pretty good to me!
Thin threads or heavy threads, you always make beautiful stitches.
