On Monday our car decided that it didn't want to live with us anymore--well it was tired and needed a rest really-so it was decided that we should take the plunge and get a new one.
Stephen has been sick with the flu and he didn't want to be bothered going over to the dealers to look at a new one so he said "why don't you go and buy one".
I don't think he believed that I would do it but I did.
On Tuesday I wrang the Hyundai dealers to ask a few questions about any deals that they may have and before I knew it the sales lady was on our doorstep to let me have a test drive.
I drove back to the dealers and went in to get all the information to take back and discuss with Stephen.
She drove me back home and waited while Stephen and I discussed what she had told me.
We have talked about getting a Hyundai Getz for over a year now but we had put it off while our old car was still going.
Anyhow to cut a long story I came home having signed on the dotted line to get this lovely shiny white car which we picked up today.
Do I look happy --you betcha and I am so proud of myself for doing it.
There will be no stopping me now

Wow! Congratulations! She looks so cute! And I'm very proud of you too.
:-)
Well done you. I had one of those as a courtesy car while my new car was being prepared and it was great.
Gorgeous Doreen, the car's not bad either!!
Well done!
Who said women can't make decisions? Good on you - there will be no stopping you now. Cheers, Robin
Good for you! I personally hate shopping for cars. I'm so glad you were able to do it with such ease. I think it looks like the perfect car. Enjoy it for many many miles!
Now that looks like just the natty little car I am going to need. Congrats on your achievement. You do look very pleased with yourself and so you should.
How nice. Men tend to be surprised when women in our age group can do something like that.
Bravo! and well done. Here's hoping your new car brings you much pleasure.
I'm dreading the day my little honda refuses to go. It's a '91 and we've had it since '96! Hugs
Who says women can't make decisions about cars.
Good for you Doreen! I'll bet Stephen is very proud of you too (either that or he's worried that his masculinity is being threatened!). No matter - it's a sweet car!
Well done you. What a cute little car.
Doreen, well done for striking while the iron was hot, VBG. My DH is such a procrastinator, it would've taken 4 test drives and 3 visits back to the dealer to choose a car. Yours looks really cute, I bet it's also economical.
Hooroo !!
Oh I love it! If I hadn't found my Barina, my next choice was the Getz. One of my friends has one, and it's such a zippy little car!
Well done Doreen! MIL has one of these & loves it.
Happy driving & thanks for your comment on my blog.
