Rain Rain go away------

We have had so much rain over this last week and I have had enough of it.
The ground is so wet that the trees are struggling to stay upright and yesterday we had huge windstorms which uprooted a lot of them because the roots were unable to stay anchored.
Nature is such a weird thing--in the summer the trees die from lack of water and now they struggle because of too much water.
This photo is of a small creek that runs near our place and is normally only a couple of metres across but as you can see there is lots of water running down the creek now.
And we are expecting more rain again in the next couple of days.

Thanks again to everyone for all their good wishes and I am happy to report that I am 100% fit again.

Doreen, you have to send the rain to the Amazonas in south America! Last night in the news on TV they showed almost dry rivers there, awful for the people and animals who live there!

Where ever we live some of us always seem to have more than we want of something! Your creek does look full - hope it knows when enough is enough! It's raining here today but we've had a gorgeous week of sunshine and can do with some wet. Hope it doesnt go on too long as I want to pick a few more blackberries before they go over. Glad you are 'fighting fit' again - enjoy whatever you are up to.

We've got rain forecast for the next few days, at least, too - so you, me and Ati and the other girls can snuggle up at the back of the classroom come Monday, and make lots of gorgeous cards in Carole's class. See you there ........

You could send me just a little bit of that rain. We can always use some here in the high desert.

Rainy days are good for creating. Just get yourself a cup of tea and disappear into your studio and play!

It's been really bad over here in northern Victoria. I think many people have been caught by surprise, as the New Zealanders were with their earthquake. But as you said, rather flood than fire.
