As you can see one of them has some strong colours on it.
The first one that I opened was the one that was stained and I was pleased with the results.
The plant life had eroded a bit and the bottle tops had rusted and the papers were moldy as well.
This is another view of the first bundle---
The second bundle was even better--there was plenty of discolouration on everything---
Again another view of the second bundle.
The third bundle was even better as the magazine papers and other text pages had passed their stains right through a lot of the fabrics etc..
You will notice that at the top of the bundle there are a lot of black stains that have come from some of the printed matter and also a teabag.
A second view of bundle 3.
I am swapping one of these bundles with a friend in the UK--she is sending one of hers to me and I will send her one of mine.
I am swapping one of these bundles with a friend in the UK--she is sending one of hers to me and I will send her one of mine.
I will have to remove the plant life etc from the bundle before I send it or it won't even leave the country because Customs will confiscate it.
Now to create a work of art :-}}

Very interesting to see what nature did with all the stuff inside. I am very curious what you will do with it!
The temptation was there to do this too, but I didn't, now I regret a bit.
Great colours in your packages Doreen, I'm sure you will turn them into something amazing.
I'm just packing up for a weekend workshop with Jan and Jean (Beaney and Littlejohn) at the Embroiderer's Guild, Melbourne. Will be a nice weekend away as I am taking my mum up and staying at my aunts
Cheers and have a good weekend creating
Most intrigued to see what you do with this Doreen! I think it would be a bit of a challenge?

I can see from enlarging your great photos that you've got some really inspirational results here! You'll have some fun creating with these, despite the 'aroma'!
They look really interesting. It did make me chuckle to think of customs opening up the parcel and wondering why on earth someone would be posting something like that!
I'm catching up on missed posts. Your bundles came out great! I don't remember how long you left them but WOW the results are so cool. Even the "smelly" one! Maybe the smell will dissipate over time.
OH! It is like an explosion of erosion!
I love it...the colors and the texture are great!
Great results! It's going to be fun to see what you do with these!
Your bundles all look inspirational though I agree with you that No.3 looks the most interesting. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
This looks good. It is fun that you are swapping a bundle too. Shared art is always a pleasure.
The colors in the packages are wonderful Doreen. What a great idea!
Hi Doreen, thank you for sharing your erosion project with us. It's very interesting to see the changes to the bundles and I'm sure you'll do something fascinating with them.
HOW COOL!! I love that you are swapping! What a great idea!
Hello Doreen
Thank you so much for your comment. I've been away what feels like forever and I wasn't even sure if people would visit me any more ;o)
Your bundles are exciting, lots of interesting colours, textures, bits and bobs to use in a project. I really enjoyed this project and the reveal. It's a great learning curve, what nature does to stuff. I was most pleased with the bundles I had hanging rather than placed or buried as the matter didn't deteriorate so much but still gave good colours and rust and mould
Hope you have a lovely weekend
Bye for now

your bundles look very interesting, i wonder what you will make with them, this was a fun project to do....
They look absolutely great Doreen - even the smelly one. Looking forward to the swap .... in fact can't wait!
I really wish I had gotten my act together months ago and put some of these together. My intentions were good, but that was as far as it got. These look absolutely wonderful and will be so much fun to work with. Can't wait to see what you do.
These are even better than the first one. Love the turquoise/bluey colour in there.
What a great idea to do a swap and see what happens with it. these look great Doreen, I know you will create something marvelous.
Can't recall where I first read about these erosion bundles, but for some reason I'm so interested! I teeter between thinking I'm creative and/or absolutely crazy. Your photos are incredible, and make me want to start one today!
