April pages for Fibre Fever

This month in Fibre Fever my swap partner was Janny from the Netherlands.
Janny's theme for the fabric page was Vintage and this is the page that I made for her.
The background fabric is a soft dusty pink colour and I collaged antique laces and a cream satin heart shaped fabric embellishment and buttons as well.
I also added running stitches to accentuate the heart and blanket stitched around the border.

This is the page that I received came from Ati in Norway.
My theme is Butterflies and Ati has worked a georgeous big butterfly in cross stitch in the centre and surrounded it with Crazy Patchwork and tiny metallic butterflies and beautiful embroidery stitching.
I am sorry but the photo does not do this page justice but at least you get the idea.

Thank you Ati for a great page.

Oh, Doreen....you have captured vintage...I can almost smell the faint perfume that comes from a grandmother's drawer.

Both pages are so lovely and great interpretations of the theme.

I love your page Doreen - it is really beautiful. The one you received is lovely too. We have the same storage problems by the sound of it. I am trying to gradually get rid of cardboard boxes and use clear plastic which I can see into!

Your vintage piece evokes memories of gentler times. I love everything about it. The flowers on the heart are so beautiful and of course I love the lace.

love the pansies on the vintage page, and Ati's page is lovely.

Both pages are gorgeous and certainly 'fit' the theme beautifully. I don't think I could manage to pick a favourite between the two, although I do love pansies (they are such a happy-looking flower).

Both really are gorgeous but I adore creamy colours and monotone quilts and your quilt page is just delectable!

Oh Doreen - your vintage page is absolutely beautiful. I enlarged it to have a closer look - the detail on it is just wonderful. Love your page from Ati too - the butterfly looks really gorgeous - lucky you!
