Block three is now started and this is on the bottom section.
I have done masses of French Knots in two shades of white Perle Cotton and Coton a Broder and a few pink ones scattered around.
Above that are three Lazy Daisy flowers in white with pink centres and above that is the edge part of pink Broderie Anglace lace held down with Buttonhole stitch in pink and then two more rows of free standing Buttonhole stitch worked into the previous row to give the appearance of lace.
A close up of the section--I should have removed the tacking thread before I took the photo :((

Looks beautiful Doreen, really pretty!
This is going to look lovely. A proper heirloom piece.
How many blocks have you got to do?
Beautiful work Doreen. It's amazing how many 'shades' of white there are - black too come to think of it. I suppose it's mainly due to the play of light on the various fibres.
Beautiful Doreen. The French knots loos lovely masses in that way.
It's beautiful. The pink adds so much and makes it more you. Isn't it amazing how many whites there are?
I worked on mine all day yesterday. I think we are obsessed don't you? Love what you have added.

So pretty...I love the section with all the French knots. I've always liked the look of them.
I really have to take a page out of your book and try to mass my french knots closer together. Retraining the brain isn't easy!
Wow Doreen... this is so beautiful...

I like the pattern on that broderie edging, it is one of the classic designs. The background fabric next to it looks very interesting, is it a voile. The whole block is beautiful, and I continue to admire the combination of the white with the touches of pink, much better than the plain white.
I love working french knots, yours are wonderful!
