It is Finished

I have finally finished the scarf that I started several months ago and I think it looks rather nice.
It only took me a couple of hours to complete it--probably 4 hours from start to finish and I didn't use one complete ball either.
Now the big test is will it be warm or not.

My only complaint is that it was so awkward to knit that I won't be rushing off to make another one in a hurry.

Your scarf is gorgeous Doreen and very elegant too. It doesn't look like knitting at all even when I enlarged the picture. I think it will be warm as all those spaces will trap pockets of air in them and you will be well insulated!

It looks great Doreen and I agree with Heather that the spaces should provide good insulation and keep you warm.

At last, I can get to the comments for your blog - yesterday blogger just kept telling me the page was unavailable!!!
I am not going to knit one in a hurry again either. I saw one at the Textile Fair being knitted in a much softer, finer yarn, but she was getting in a tangle too. The finished product looks pretty good though. Cheers.

I saw some yarn like this in the shop just yesterday, and wondered how it would knit up. The yarn was pretty expensive/ball, but if it takes less than 1 ball for a scarf, then not so.

I've just bought a ball of the finer yarn at the Darling Harbour Craft Show and knitted up one scarf, you can get 2 from the ball. I agree it looked soooo easy when demonstrated but it took me 2 attempts to get it looking ruffly and not droopy, LOL. Certainly not one to do while watching TV, but I do like it in the red/orange colourway I bought. Feels pretty warm around my neck too.
Cheers,
Christine.

It is gorgeous, you can always make an art piece of it when it is too hot....
