Tonight I was looking at the calendar and it suddenly dawned on me that I had missed my blogaversary.
On the 5th of January 2007 I started my blog-if you want to see the firstpost go here.
I new nothing about blogging or how to use a computer except to send e-mails and play Solitaire.
Lots of people helped me on my journey-encouraging me every step of the way and I am very grateful that they took the time to guide me.
I am amazed at how much I have learned in this time and I only wish that I had something interesting to show you but alas there is nothing.
Next week Dale at the Thread Studio is starting a new Embellisher workshop called Hot Needles Cool Stitches and I have signed up for it so hopefully I will have some samples to show you all.
I just want to thank everyone who drops by whether you leave a comment or not because it's the thought that counts-you made the effort to look and that's what matters.

Happy Belated Blogaversary!!
Congratulations Doreen! Like you, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I was talked into creating my first blog, but I have no regrets whatsoever. Again like you, I have learnt so much more than I could have ever imagined, and I've met so many wonderful people, both online and in person. I look forward to many more years of reading your blog, so keep it up!
Congrats on your blogaversary. I'm looking forward to your workshop results.
Late congratulations, Doreen! I think I forgot mine last year so don't feel bad. You and I started our blogs at almost the same time (my anniversary is next month) and like you I knew nothing about blogging or computers. It's been a fun five years visiting you and I hope we have many more.
Belated Happy Blogiversary! I did the same thing last September. Looking forward to seeing your samples from Dales course.
Happy Blogoversary Doreen, the embellisher course sounds wonderful...
I'd sing Happy Blogiversary Doreen, but it might give you a headache, LOL. I forgot mine also, it's been a busy few months lately and now this week we have such dreadful news coverage of the Queensland floods. Prediction is it'll get worse before it gets better.Every dollar donated will certainly be appreciated and needed.
Looking forward to reading your blog in the future, and seeing your workshop projects! Hoooroo,
Christine in overcast Sydney
Congratulations on your blogaversary. Still toying with the idea of doing Dales class - she has some very tempting samples on her blog.
