Ebony had a great time -surfing and boogy boarding-and making new friends.
Oh and Stephen and I had a ball as well.
Before we went away I sent off my Fibre Fever page to Barbara and now she has received it I can show you.
Barbara's theme is "The sky above us" and seeing as we have all been looking at the New Years Eve fireworks I thought I would make my page about that.
The background fabric has stars and blots of colour splattered all over it.
I machined an exploding firework and added sequins to represent the shower of stars that fall from the sky.
When we arrived home I found the page that was sent by Helina waiting for me.
A lovely Crazy Patchwork block with beautiful stitches and lots of butterflies.
Thank you Helina.
Next month will be our last swap for this group-then I will have to stitch them all together-but first I have to make the cover.

Welcome back, Doreen. I thought that the hot weather might have laid you low.
It must have been great at the beach. Both those pages are so lovely Doreen and your book will be beautiful.
Lovely butterfly piece and you fireworks are great - New Year seems so long ago!
Yes, we did miss you. :)
What on earth is boogy boarding?
Your page for Barbara is great - I really like the background fabric.
I missed you but thought you were just busy creating. Now I see you were off having other kinds of fun!
Your fireworks piece is great! Even without reading about it, when I first saw the photo I thought of fireworks.
You picked a good week Doreen. We were in Ballarat for tennis last week and the weather was fantastic (except for the 45C on Monday)
I am about to have breakfast and it has been hailing here. No. 2 son and his friends slept out in the paddock in the tent last night (I haven't been able to get down to check they are okay yet, too much rain.
I missed you too. Glad to hear you were cavorting at the beach. Your fireworks piece is wonderful!
I love the firework show. Very nicely done. Many kudos to you my lady friend.
