TIF February Challenge

I have finished the February block for the TIF challenge and I am very pleased with the end result.
I am also pleased to say that I have still only used things from my stash and I was surprised at what I could find that fitted into the colour scheme.
I did have to use a light green silk ribbon and thread which was not in the colours but I needed to add stems and leaves in a couple of places.
I love the gold charm of the lady in the bonnet that I have had in my stash for some time and this seemed to be the right place to put it.

The block is not quite as dark as it appears in the photo but after taking 20 photos this is the best one that I could get--thank goodness for digital cameras.
Now to get ready for March

This one looks wonderful too Doreen. They are going to look fabulous at the end when you have 12 of them in all different colourways.

Hi Doreen
What a great piece, I knew you'd do something wonderful when I saw the block, and you certainly have.
I love the additions of the charms, and how clever of you to find it all in your stash.
Many thanks for your comment on my blog post, i'm having a bit of a computer crisis at the moment so anything could happen to my posts/emails. Have to reformat urgently!!

Hi Doreen!
Your TIF piece is absolutely wonderful and I like the little touch of green....it allows a sense of spontaneity, an individualism that subtly says "I'm special". I don't even think I would have noticed it without your comment. Using it is a sign of originality...an advanced ability to stay within the rules while breaking them at the same time. You clearly have the color scheme under control...enough so that you could add whatever you fancied. It is perfect.

I saw one of Ebony's cards on Jacqueline's blog and smiled. Ebony is so lucky to be exposed to all the talent available on line in such a wonderful way and use her creativity. Thanks for sharing her with everyone.

Still no word from Alex...but Steve and I are doing better, emotionally. We spent the weekend at the South Carolina Book Festival...in a booth selling antiquarian prints and displaying my book art. I wrapped hundreds of rusted nails. In all, it was fun talking to people who like reading, books, poetry, new authors, and workshops on "how to get published". I think we even made some money....but I don't generally keep track of that.

Tomorrow, I have a lunch meeting to discuss CYBER FYBER. I'll let you know how it goes!
