I caught the bus up and back--3 and a half hours each way.
I brought lots of wonderful things--mostly from Dale at the Thread Studio.
The Bad------well I spent lots of money on things that I know I just couldn't live without.
This is some silk organza and silk threads..... Then there are the embroidery threads to work on my TAST samples and also to use with my Embellisher.
Had to have them.
And how could I pass up this beautiful hand dyed lace.........
Or these hand dyed wools and a little bag of Sari silks......
And these beautiful roses on a band --just what I need to put on some tassel heads.......

Fantastic goodies Doreen. Great day out. Out of interest, how long were you gone taking into account SEVEN HOURS travelling? Val
You really had fun. Those are wonderful goodies. WE'll be waiting to see what you do with them. Sandy
The goodies are all fantastic! I love that hand dyed lace!! I also loved your answer about what you're gonna do with it! And yes, that happens at my house all the time. Who knew that art/craft supplies had such an active sex life!!
Wonderful goodies! However, I must mention that I have spooked the cat now and it's all your fault...guffawing when seeing the empty purse was what did it. Thanks for the laugh. I'm sure the cat will recover.
Love the coloured threads you bought. I know exactly what you mean about things multiplying or I bet you have this as well you buy something put it away for another day then when you want it you can't find it.
What lovely bits you found Doreen. I just love that hand dyed lace. Is that from Thread Studio?
Doreen,
One good thing...I'll bet most of us shop like you do and have closets, drawers and containers full of "must have" items.
Like good girl scouts...we must "be prepared".

I'm the same when I go to Ally pally which is the only place I can actually see Dale's goodies for real. Those lucious colors make me drool each time.
Sounds like you had a great time Doreen.I can understand you wanting to buy lots of goodies from Dale from The Thread Studio! She has gorgeous stuff! I remember seeing some of that hand dyed lace when I visited her early this month. The colors she uses are stunning.
You bought lots of other wonderful treasures too.
Laughed out loud at the photo of the empty purse and your comment about art supplies multiplying. And then laughed again at Janet's comment about their sex life!
The threads are beautiful and I am sure you will have fun using them on different projects and samples. At my house, the fiber supplies have their own bedroom to live and multiply in.
