August Postcard swap

The theme for the August postcard swap for the "Fabric Postcard for Stitchers"group was "Summertime" or the "colour yellow".
Well how could I think of summertime when it is freezing outside so I chose to do yellow.
I have this lovely fabric with fairies on it so this is what I made my card from.
I hilited the wings and the dress of the fairy with machine stitching in gold metallic thread but it is hard to pick up in the photo.

My swap partner was Cindy from the US and this is the postcard that she sent me.
I am not sure if Cindy has a blog or not but I cannot seem to find it if she has.
It is very textural and if you click on the photo you should be able to see all of it.

Thank you Cindy I love it.

Under the Sea 2

Yesterday I received my postcard from Liz who was my swap partner in the Fabric Postcard for Stitchers group.
The theme was Under the Sea and I posted previously about the postcard that I sent to Liz.
It is hard to tell in the scan but Liz has embroidered lots of seaweed in the bottom left hand corner.

Liz also included thiss beautiful ATC for Ebony.

Thank you Liz.

Postcard Swap

I belong to an online Yahoo group called "Fabric Postcards for Stitchers" and each month we swap postcards using a different theme.
This month the theme was a free choice --and my swap partner was Kathy who lives in Minnesota USA.
Her postcard has a background of threads on top of plain fabric and then covered with tulle which has then been stitched all over.
Kathy has then free machined flower petals onto this and the centres are made with french knots.
A beautiful postcard Kathy.

I decided to use one of my many hand embroidered doileys to make my postcard.
I have been collecting old doileys to use in my Crazy Patchwork and this one had a hole in the middle of it so it was perfect to make this postcard.

This is a fun group of very talented ladies and I am enjoying sharing my work with them.
