Oops I forgot Something

I received all of the lovely art below last week and forgot to show you--naughty me.
The first one is my August Calendar Girls postcard from Lynda-- it is made from Lutradur-very yummy.



The next three 4 x 4 works of art were sent to me by members of the small group that I belong to (must get them to give us a name).
In September the swap was a vintage 4 x 4 hanging instead of the usual ATC that we swap.
I asked them if they would mind if I didn't take part this time because I was so busy with (you know what) and I just could not make the committment.
Well was I surprised when several parcels turned up unexpectedly and I found that they didn't want to leave me out--how nice is that.
The first one is from Debbi--she does remarkable work and it is always a joy to receive gifts from her.

The second one is from Carole in NZ and it has such a lovely feel to it and is made from vintage fabric and laces.

This last one is from Annie in WA--I love the lady on it she looks so elegant.

Thank you girls for your kind thoughts- it was a wonderful surprise that was much appreciated and cheered me up when I was so worn out.

August Calendar Girls Postcard

This months calendar page really had me stumped--maybe it was because I was not feeling well but I just couldn't get my head around it at all.
I kept staring at the blank piece of fabric and also a piece of white cardstock wondering what I would do.
At one stage I had thought that I would just send Carol M (my swap partner for this month) a piece of white cardstock and tell her to put something on it for herself.
Finally I decided to just concentrate on the hearts and go for it.
The background piece of fabric is a baby wipe that I had used to clean my stamps with.
I placed it onto a piece of commercial felt and ran it through the embellisher and then I cut out heart shapes and placed them on top of and underneath the base and embellished the lot together.
I then added 3 purchased hearts to give it more texture.

Here is the page that Val chose for August---I kept looking at the people trying to get inspiration but finally I followed the hearts and went for it.
