Another Bargain

I hadn't realised that it has been 2 weeks since I have posted anything here but I have had an excuse---honestly---because we have had the pesky flu running rampant through our family and I am fed up with it.
All is back to normal now thank goodness but I haven't any stitching to show because I haven't finished anything.
But I do have another Op-Shop find.
Yesterday I had to work at our church Op-Shop because the lady who is in charge on Thursdays has taken 3 weeks leave and I am the person who fills in for her.
Now it turns out that the other lady who was working yesterday is the "bag lady"--she is in charge of pricing the bags and putting them in the shop.
My lucky day-------so look what she was putting out---this fabulous black leather shoulder bag and it only cost me $5.
It was shouting at me "Don't let her put me out there Doreen--I want to come home with you".
Well what was I to do?
This is the front that has a pocket------------------------------

And the back which has a zip---------------

And the inside that has two sections---one section also has a zippered pocket in it and the other has a place for my mobile.

I have two more Thursdays to work this month so who knows what I will come home with next time.

Now you have me curious! Did you make this? Was it left hanging on your fence? Was it a drive-by pursing? Did you win enough money to fill it? Do tell!!

That's a great bag Doreen. It's smart yet very practical too. Glad you are all better now, and good hunting!

Op-shops are a must visit, my husband is the church Warden responsible for the running of the our Church's op-shop, so while he converses with the Manager I stroll around looking for useful treasures. So good for you, some things just cry out for our attention like you handbag, don't they?

That's exactly the kind of bag I like. Lots of pockets and zippered places to keep things. Plus you can't beat the price!

I love when you find something that 'speaks' to you... You know that you will use it until it falls apart... I remember I found a pair of as new little lace up black boots for $3 a few years ago and I wore them until they were literally hanging off my feet... I only parted with them when I was told that they just couldn't be mended... They were the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned....

Sorry to hear you have all been crook with the flu, Doreen. So far this year I've been keeping healthy, and Ken is pretty good now too.
BTW, did you explain to Ebony about her flower nodding in the sun? I don't think mine has nodded for the past month - this winter has been so cold and dark.

You didn't find the bag by the sounds of it - the bag found you!!
Very nice too, and it looks very happy to be home with you. Happy hunting for the next couple of weeks!
