Art for Art sake

Today I was at a friends shop (she sells patchwork fabric) and she gave me this painting that Ebony did when she was 2 years old.
It had been hanging in her shop for nearly ten years and she was cleaning down the stuff off the wall and thought that I may like it back.
I can remember when she did this--it was in our back yard and she had discovered how much fun she could have doing finger painting.

She will be surprised to see this on the wall next time she comes for a sleep over.

What a fun story. I hope she'll paint another in your backyard :)

Ebony's painting has the 'wow' factor - she must have art in her blood. How nice that it found it's way back to you.

Looks like an early Impressionist painting....how good to have it home again. I also think it would be great done on canvas with various stitches and threads!

I imagine Ebony will be pleased to see her early artistic work.

It woudl be good to see it printed on fabric or interpreted in stitch,
