Finally I have photographed the stuff that we dyed recently to sell at the guild exhibition.
Each bundle was dyed in a jar-there are 5 different silk fabrics plus threads-laces and Silk ribbons.
We are a bit hap hazard with how much dye solution is poured into the jar so we would not be able to reproduce the colour-way exactly the same again.
Our idea is to produce one off colour-ways that are special--not a commercial amount.
The photos are true colours (thanks to a beautiful sunny day here) so I think they will sell well.
Sorry about the long line of photos but I don't know how to set them up in nice little boxes side by side.
The dyes we used were Procion-----------
Chartreuse and Purple---------
Old Rose and Pearl Grey----------

The colours that turned out are gorgeous. I like one off things, and your explanation on not being able to reproduce colours sounds a lot like the way I dye.
I am sure they will sell well.
I like the idea of onw offcolours too Shirley - I can;t ever reproduce exactly anything I do. I lovethe colourways, especially the last one. Cheers
I too like one off colourways, and my favoutites are the pumkin spice and intense blue. Really gorgeous.
I cannot stop drooling. One offs are far better anyway. What gorgeous names your Procion dyes have, an inspiration in themselves.
Hmmm Gorgeous!!!
These are stunning combinations Doreen - have no doubt they will be tremendously popular. Just popped in to see how you are keeping - looks as if you are busy! Take photos of the sale...
Yummy colors! I wish I lived close enough to attend your sale. Hmmm, but then I'd no doubt be broke.....heheh
You must be thrilled with the results Doreen - the colours you got are gorgeous and will be snapped up.
Fantastic eye candy Doreen - they will sell like hot cakes, you betcha! If you ever find out how to do those collages of little pictures, do let me know, won't you?
Yummy. Of course the blue/fuchsia is my favorite bundle.
Oh my - I would think these would sell like hotcakes! Each one is lovely (and makes me inspired to get back at crazy quilting!).
