TAST 2 Week 36 Turkman Stitch

I am early again for the TAST 2 challenge but I have to keep up as we are going on holidays in a couple of weeks time and if I get behind now I will never catch up.
This weeks stitch is Turkman Stitch --I have heard of it but I had not seen it before.
This is a very easy stitch to work -it just swings from side to side.
The thread I have used is perle cotton number 8 and the top colour is more of an orange than a pink.
Not sure of the maker but it came in a small ball and the little *doover* in the top that explains all that stuff is missing..

*doover* my word for something I can't remember the name of.

'Doover' is much more interesting than the usual 'thingy'. ;-) Hugs

Doreen, you're very disciplined with your stitching, much more than I am, LOL. I know that term as dooverlacky too, I looked it up the origins in my Australiana dictionary but couldn't find it, probably came over with the convicts from Britain like a lot of our terms.

Hi Doreen, "Doova" was a favourite word of my Dad and a picture of him came straight to my mind....everything was a doova to him.
Your Turkman stitch looks really neat. I like it as well. I am going on holidays Thursday...in about 6 hours. See you when you get back have a nice time.

Lovely stitching Doreen, it is very even!
I was at a Magpie supporters house last night, quite annoying the amount of memorabilia!!
